About Me:
I’m from North Carolina and currently live with my husband and chihuahua-poodle mix, Ruthie.
After completing two terms of service with AmeriCorps, I earned my Master of Education in Higher Education Access and Success at Temple University. I have been supporting online graduate students for over five years.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing paint by numbers, and trying new foods.
How Do I…?
We compiled a list of frequently asked questions for easy reference. You can always reach out to your support team if your question isn’t listed.
Outside of your live, online classes, as a Tufts SOE student, our Engineering, Technology & Physical Sciences community is a great starting place if you’re interested in solving tough, real-world problems through hardware, software, or science.
If you need help, the best first step is to contact your student support coach. Your coach is your go-to person who will listen to your concerns and point you toward useful resources.
Maintaining a work-life balance while in graduate school can be challenging. Reach out to your student support coach to review useful tips for time management and how to best position yourself for success.
Our Career Center can help you set professional goals and develop strategies and skills to achieve them. A good first step is to schedule an appointment to explore career paths, develop your professional goals, and learn about job and internship search strategies. You can also check out our Career Services Guide.
For administrative questions, please contact our online graduate program coordinator and copy your student support coach so they are in the loop.
Not all courses are offered each semester. If you are considering adjusting your schedule, please consult your student support coach to discuss your situation and the best next steps.
If you are considering taking time off, your first step is to connect with your student support coach to review options. It’s important to familiarize yourself with the academic/personal/financial leave policies at Tufts, so please reference our Thinking of Time Away Guide for more information.
All students apply for graduation through our Student Information System (SIS) in their final semester. Check out our Graduation Information for Graduate Students page for details.

To activate your student account, log in to the application management portal and click on “Get Your Tufts Email Address” under the “Forms” section of the page. Your Exchange email account is the official method of communication with Tufts University faculty and staff. For convenience, you can forward your email to your personal account. If you need any assistance creating your password, contact IT Support via phone or email.
Our Student Information System (SIS) is your go-to portal for registering for classes. Prior to registration for each semester, you must lift your registration hold. You can lift your hold in one of two ways:
- Submit the removal form if you know the specific courses you plan to take.
- Attend an advising drop-in session with Dr. Marty Allen. You will receive additional information on drop-in session availability via email.
Canvas is Tufts University’s primary learning platform. You’ll be notified by email when your course’s Canvas site is available to access so you can view the course syllabus and materials and connect with your professor(s).
Official transcripts from all the post-secondary institutions where you earned credit toward an undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree are required before you can register for classes. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the institution or a third-party transcript service to Tufts.
Official electronic transcripts should be sent to gradadmissions.transcripts@tufts.edu.
If official electronic transcripts are unavailable, please have official transcripts sent to:
